The card catalog used to be one endless black series: the material was hardcoded, and “series” was just a field in the editor. Now cards live inside series and inherit their look.
Series — sets the base, accent, status and season window; a card is created right inside it and takes the material “from the series” until it picks its own
Bases — five materials instead of a single black one; obsidian stays with system and top-tier cards, a light base changes both the seal and the backing under the text
Face up — in lists a card shows as a thumbnail, and a series tile shows a stack, the way you hold them in your hand
Letters — the booster notification arrives in the reader's language, and a pile of boosters collapses into one
The first set, “THE FIRST”, is ten relic cards from one place, a baroque cathedral-archive: ranked S to D by the rarity of the occasion, not the richness of the frame. Platinum belongs to THE FIRST alone.
